Notting Hill Music signs Euan Hinshelwood to worldwide publishing agreement

We’re pleased to announce the signing of Euan Hinshelwood to a worldwide publishing agreement with Notting Hill Music. Euan’s long-standing band Younghusband was originally conceived as a solo home studio project in 2007, whilst playing and co-writing in several bands including The New Shapes & Emmy The Great.

After a number of singles and EPs, Younghusband emerged as one of a crop of so-called neo-psych bands in 2011, and under a canopy of reverb and phase, they could be heard hunting for escape routes from the played-out circus of British rock. While their debut album ‘Dromes’ produced by Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Wild Nothing) defined a scene, their sophomore ‘Dissolver’, recorded at Geoff Barrow’s Invada studio and produced by Robert Hampson of LOoP, set them apart, taking in a wide sweep of guitar music and focusing it into a precisely individual proposition which garnered comparisons with Elliott Smith, The Shoes, and Big Star.

Younghusband have toured extensively and appeared alongside the likes of Pond, Let’s Wrestle, Thee Oh Sees, Slowdive, Roky Erickson, TOY, Bo Ningen, H Hawkline, Jacco Gardener, and have featured on the line-up at some of the world’s most celebrated festivals such as Primavera Sound, End of the Road, SXSW, Glastonbury, The Great Escape and ATP Festivals.
